100% Syrah, half aged for seven months in old oak. Very deep coloured. Lovely bright perfumed nose has a bit of meatiness along with super-smooth sweet fruit. The palate is vivid and spicy with good structure and a dense, meaty richness. Quite a rich wine.
Unlike most Cotes du Rhone blends, this unique bottling from Gramenon is comprised of 100% Syrah, grown in a variety of soils from vines ranging in age of 15-35 years. Full of juicy dark fruit flavors, noted with floral and smoky nuances.
