Chateau du Trignon Roussanne 2017 |
Whiffs of crunchy red apple and pear are inviting on the nose of this dry, full-bodied white. It's a silky, expansive wine with soft lemony acidity and integrated notes of spice and nut. The apple-like finish is brisk.
Swirls of orange blossom and vanilla introduce this richly textured Roussanne. Soft, honeyed flavors of tangerine and pear are broad and expansive on the palate, accented by hints of earth and sunny lemon acidity.
The nose is attractive thanks to soft airs of white flowers, orange blossom, with quiet pear and white plum tones below. This drinks well as an aperitif, thanks to its clean lines, and tender fruit, a becoming softness in the late palate. There is a neat plumpness in its white fruits that have a touch of peach and apricot, also a dab of honey, in them.
