The Drawing Board is still quite youthfully tight-knit, unfurling in the glass with notions of red berries, spice and soil. On the palate, the wine is supple but quite closed and compact at this early stage, but based on this cuvée's track record, I'm expecting it to open up and become quite expressive by the time it's released. Flavors of green and yellow apple, lemon curd, pear tart and rocks that would pair well with roast chicken.
