Cabernet Franc 'Weinbau Vineyard', Januik Winery 2018

Januik's Cabernet Franc comes from the Weinbau Vineyard, one of the oldest vineyards around Mattawa in the Columbia Valley, known for its particularly fine silty loam soils that provide good drainage and heat retention. The wine is aged for 19 months and new and one-use French oak barrels and racked every 5 months to increase its supple texture.

A small dose (10%) of Cabernet Sauvignon is added to increase length. Deep ruby color with purple highlights and aromas of blueberry, raspberry, licorice and spice. The palate has soft, elastic tannis with incredible depth, balance and persistence. Enjoy with spice-rubbed, grilled beef.
