This white blend of 30% chardonnay, 30% pinot grigio, and 40% sauvignon blanc shows off the trifecta of grapes with its freshness and aromatics, as well as its dual treatment in both stainless steel and French oak. It has a fuller body than I expected. Tree and stone fruits dominate the nose and palate, with a touch of smokiness from the oak, and a hint of residual sugar, which is balanced by moderate acidity.
Wine of neat light yellow colour, with gentle yet complex nose: pear, citrus, jasmine and meadow flavors. Palate is very well structured, solid, with hints of apricot, apple and white currant. Touch of pear, feijoa, lime on lively long finish with soft and enveloping acidity. Nice match to eel salad with gorgonzola.
Bold, smooth tannins, dry, a deep cherry flavour on palate. Is not earthy like many Tuscan reds, but this one showcases depth and is more fruit oriented
