Alexander The Great Grand Reserve 2010

This wine was made from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Mourvedre. The grapes are from a special 31 year old vineyard, located on the Dalton Plateau area in the upped Galilee, on of the oldest vineyards in Israel, 870 meters high above sea level, it has a yield of 5000Kg/Hecter, soil composition of limestone and volcanic rock adds special flavours, that are typical to this area. The wine was aged in 225 litre Radoux barrels for 48 months, with the wine being transferred to new barrels again after 24 months. The result is a wine that is exceptionally rich in colour aroma and flavours, no wonder this has received an exceptional 89 points by Robert Parker.
