Agostino Pavia & Figli is a small family company in the heart of the Barbera d’Asti production area. On about 9 hectares of vineyards extending over gentle slopes around the farmhouse, all located in the area of Agliano Terme, the winery produces three Barbera d’Asti crus: Bricco Blina, Moliss and La Marescialla. Bricco Blina is the name of the vineyard where the grapes were grown and Agostino Pavia & Figli is the producer. The nose is bright fruit and sour cherry with just a hint of white pepper.
The flavours of red cherries, cranberries and raspberry are abundant in this lighter medium bodied red. There is plenty of acidity, and a smooth, lovely finish. It's a great Italian wine. The ideal pairing is risotto, ragu pork roasts, aged cheeses and salami.
