IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

James Suckling 91 points - A fresh, fruity malbec with berries, cherries, and hints of chocolate. Medium-bodied and crisp. Delicious finish.

Vinous 90 points - A Mendoza Malbec that spent six months in American and French oak. The candied nose offers blurred notes of plum, blackberry and wood. Indulgent, fleshy, and strongly flavored, it has a creamy, voluminous feel, perhaps rather overdone for the segment...October/2020

The huge Trapiche firm, the largest wine producer in Argentina as well as one of the country’s oldest (it was founded in 1883), has built a strong reputation for high-quality inexpensive wines as well as for their high-end vineyard-designated Malbecs. Quality has been on the rise since the company installed the talented Daniel Pi as chief winemaker and enologist in 2002, and the firm’s geographic reach has expanded as well. - From Argentina’s Wines Enter The World Stage (Jul 2018) by Stephen Tanzer

Ideal to serve with cheeses, red meats, mushrooms, stew, and with the typical Argentinian “Asado”.

Trapiche-Malbec

The wine was very smooth and flavorful from the first sip to last. This wine is great for the money.

very good for the price

Tastings by several people were all positive. There is a good sense of the varietal. There was an almost Pinot Noir-like cherry note, although this wine has more body than the average Pinot. The acidity was good. Long finish.
